Peace Beads (www.peacebeads.org) and UNA-USA's Pasadena/ Foothills Chapter (www.unapasadena.org) have initiated a partnership. Peace beads are given by one person to another in the sprit of peace and freedom and are part of a growing worldwide movement. They are handmade by Native Americans and are a great fundraising source for non-profit foundations, such as the UNA.

Manhattan Beach Woman Finds Peace in Beads
When Heather Ross moved to California from her hometown of Tucson, Arizona at the age of 17, she planned to pursue her love for writing. She instead found herself in another occupation, managing commercial real estate in Los Angeles. After 12 years working in that arena and leaving it to pursue her dream of writing, she stumbled across another opportunity that turned out to be more fulfilling -- creating a symbol of peace. Featured Team Member
The High Plains Indian Alliance Featured Team Member is Supervisor Shawn Bull Child. Shawn was born and raised on the Blackfeet Reservation. He and his wife Renae have been married ten years and have four children - all distance runners!
Shawn has been instrumental in the Peace Beads™ project from the very beginning, assisting in setting up the work quarters and organizing the team. He continues to be a dedicated supervisor, going above and beyond what is asked of him, and working with the other associates in all phases of Peace Beads™ production. Shawn takes tremendous pride in everything he does. Thank you Shawn, from all of us at Peace Beads™!

IREM President Honored
with Peace Beads™
Peace Beads™ were recently featured at an event in Washington D.C. The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) hosted a Leadership and Legislative Summit on April 25-29, giving every IREM member the opportunity to make a difference by taking issues and priorities to the top of our government. Peace Beads™ were given to IREM members as a message of commitment and cooperation.
